The Downtown Wine Merchants take the Bay Area’s natural and sustainable philosophy and apply it to their wine bar menu. This means getting ideas from what farmers around them are growing and also producing as much as in house as possible
It’s incredible how much we actually produce ourselves. From our cured salmon, to fresh ricotta, pork and tuna confits, flatbreads and all our delicious sauces and purées. Everything else we source from local producers
In addition to their versatile menu, daily specials are always offered up and in high demand. Their Enchilada Tuesday Lunch has a strong following, but what some of their regulars are calling ‘The Best Deal In Town’ is their Saturday Supper program, where guest get 3 courses plus a Wine Flight for $35 (These programs are currently not available, but we hope to bring them back in the near future)
Another thing we feel strongly about is animals being raised humanely, so we use only purveyors who follow the same principles. Knowing how they are treated and fed is important to us.
Their menu is served throughout the entire day with no inconvenient kitchen closures or lackluster ‘in-between service’ menus.
